Default LS7 rocker arm bolts? ARP? 8mm Allen head vs. 12 point?

Is there a better bolt available for the LS7 rocker arms? I don't see anything by ARP which would be my preference, but there is an 8mm Allen head LS7 rocker bolt available from Michigan Motorsports on Ebay that looks good. However, I can't find anything on how/where they are made and am hesitant to throw in a bolt in there that for all I know came out of China.

Maybe the OE GM bolts are fine? I see 12 point bolts available at BTR, but a 12 point bolt for this application looks easy to strip the head. Does anybody have any experience with the 8mm LS7 rocker arm bolts from Michigan Motorsports?

The YT's use the same style bolt, which is good (no more worrying about breaking 8mm sockets). So long as the grade is appropriate and the shoulder is the proper diameter, why not?

I hate Hex bolts...... Prefer Torx. The OEM bolts suck. Don't over torque them more than 4 foot pounds, whatever you do. They will stretch and probably break.

What makes you question the stock bolts?

The OEM bolts just look easy to strip the head off of, and the allen head bolts looked a little better. BTR offers the 11588791 LS7 rocker arm bolt, and then a 12 point M8 1.25mm x 37mm bolt, but the 12 points look easier to strip than the OE bolts.

Interesting enough, in the YouTube video below where he talks about preload, he looks like he is using a nice allen bolt and I'm simply curious while I have mine off here soon, if I should put them back together with something better? I like the view of the ones from Michigan Motorsports, but they can't provide any details or specs on who/how the bolts are made, and would be hesitant to stick a bolt in my LS7 without knowing more about them.

Never stripped the head off a stock bolt.

Bigger concern should be over-torquing the bolt and cracking the rocker stand. Bolts are fine

I wouldn't worry about the bolts. Make sure you use a well calibrated torque wrench.

Yep...crack a rocker pedestal due to over torquing or the wrong length bolt, and you will be using words you didn't think you had in your vocabulary.

You can always just go by your local Fastenal and pick up some. They will have M8x35 mm and possibly M8x37 mm allen-headed socket head cap screws (SHCS). Just make sure to get grade 12.9, not 10.9. That is what my Yella Terras came with. I had one of them that the allen head was messed up. Bought a replacement at Home Depot! Grade 12.9 is grade 12.9, no matter where you buy them, or how much they overcharge for them.
