Default Tire help

Need tire help with 08z I came a cross a set of ccws 18x13 rear 18x8.5 front. I planned on running 345/35 in rear and 245/40 front. My car is N/A build. And I was told the 345/35 is to big and I will lose gearing Not sure what other tire combo to go with. I was planning on et street ss in rear. And maybe a pilot ss in front. Help !!

You will lose some gearing with tires that tall, but if you have enough power, you can overcome it and it may actually help with traction. I run MT Street Comps up front with the 345/35/18 ET Street SS in the rear, but MPSS would work as well.

I’m contemplating on selling the ccws I got. And going with a smaller rim not as wide as I can not find another tire combo that will
work

Definitely don’t need a 13 inch wide rim. I run 18x12s with the MTs.

Will the 345/35-18 and the 245/40-18 work together or is the diameter difference to much?

You’ll get the Engine Drag Active warning from the TC because the front to rear ratio is greater than 1.04. I use 275/40/18 up front and have no issues.
