Amazing it made to almost 90k! Gives some hope to those not rushing to get the heads fixed. Just a little.

I don't remember seeing any nearly that bad shown here on the forum, not even Chad's videos !!

FWIW I believe this video makes it clear that excessive clearance is not the only contributing factor to dropping a valve.

The wear in that video beat the hell out of that valve. Some valves must be thicker and tougher than others.

Yep, just like any manufacturing process, you are going to get some valves that are stronger than others, and some that are junk. The worn guides increase the stress, but the valve sets what the limit of that stress is.
