Just purchased an 06 z with 5k miles... white dots in exhaust?
So I just picked a show room condition z and I was curious to what have possible caused this? My theory is lots of exhaust condensation from idling?

Did you notice if the white dots were present when you picked it up? The car may have been sitting, correction, obviously it had been sitting, and they appeared while the exhaust was not in use???

I didn't look into the exhaust until I washed the car on sunday(after purchase) . Any modification done appears to be done professionally. My guess is corrosion as well

AHP seems to be a great way to go for heads. You might also look in to advanced induction. Their ported heads usually make the most power utilizing the stock heads. Probably can’t go wrong either way, enjoy!

Definitely don't want a big cam. Ideally the goal is 600rwhp on pump gas. Is this possible with near stock manners? My previous ride was a 03 cobra with 715 rwhp and I always said the only car I'd sell it for is a z... it's nice to join the club

600 RWHP is a lot to ask for and not have a decent size cam. But having near stock manners and 600 RWHP is just not going to happen. A more realistic goal would be around 550 RWHP. This can be accomplished with a good set of headers, CAI, ported stock throttle body, ported stock intake, and a BTR Stage 3 cam. If you haven't had the heads done yet while I had them off to be done I would probably deck them .010 and have them ported while I was at it.

Definitely going to have the heads ported along with replacing the intake system. I've had a big cam car in the past and didn't care for the drivability

It's unlikely that you'll achieve 600whp while keeping stock manners unless you supercharge it. Heads/cam cars always drive different unless it's ultra tame, and you sacrifice power. A "stock manners" heads/cam Z06 will probably be in the 520-540whp range.

Nice find... Welcome to the madness...

600whp with good heads and a mild can and the right supporting mods is easily done

Nobody said it can't make 600whp. He mentioned that he wants it to drive like stock. A 600whp heads/cam Z06 will not drive like a stock Z06.
