Is This Plan Logical
Shoot holes in this idea for me. I currently have a '98 C5 with a very stout, Procharged 427 (C5R block, bulletproof rotating assembly, LS7 heads, etc. etc.) but now want to upgrade the driveline to a TR6060, C6 Z06 diff, and at least C6Z brakes. The tab for buying all those pieces will run over $10k. Since I like the looks of the C6Z better, should I consider finding a healthy Z with the TR6060, swapping in my 900+ RWHP engine, putting the stock LS7 in my (low mile, pristine C5) and selling it. Fire away!

One of the biggest questions I have is around your time. The plan sounds fine, but is it worth your time to do all that? If you aren't in a hurry, can wrench on it yourself and enjoy it then go for it. If you had a shop do all the work, there's no way you would come out ahead.

Early or late crank trigger? Not compatible between the 2 platforms. You can use a converter box to run the early management with the late motor, but far as I know, no one makes an adapter the other direction.
Otherwise, pull the crank, change the trigger wheel...
Aside from that possibility, I think updating to the whole car instead of just the pieces is a great idea!
Probably most cost effective just to replace the C5 engine with a used LS1 and sell the LS7 separately.
