Default Changing to ARH 2-1/8 3.5" collector - Need advice on mufflers

Hey everyone, looking for some advice...

I am going to be switching to the ARH 2-1/8" with 3.5" collectors from my 1-7/8 ARH to Corsa Sport. My new setup in short is a LS Next 427 w/ F1X and I am pretty sure the little Corsa Sport setup will be a huge bottleneck.

Wanted to see what everyone thought. Corsa Extreme, get some Magnaflows and just turn them down?

Thanks in advance.

Going to have to have something custom made if you want to go all the way out the back. I'm running turn downs on my ARH mid pipe. It's loud, sounds gnarly at WOT, but a little annoying just cruising around. Once I get my car running I'll hit you up so you can hear it in person.

Thanks man, I heard your idle clip and sounds good on my phone. Want to check it out and take a ride to see how it is cruising and WOT, figured making it all the way out the back at this point in the game will be tough. Looking forward to you getting everything back together. 👍🏼

JoshB. built himself some axlebacks from factory mufflers, and he also runs the 2 1/8th ARH race headers.

And he also says he doesn't want to make another, lol. I wonder if adding 3.5" collectors to 2" headers will do anything for power output.

Either way, 2" headers should be plenty for upwards of 1200whp.

Are you looking to go 3.5" all the way back, or will your ARH mid-pipe neck down (mid-way) from 3.5" to 3.0"? If its the latter, you have all kinds of options...including a Josh B 3" muffler mod setup. Josh's full 3.5" setup will probably be one of a kind though...lol

lol, true story.

The ARH race headers are seriously awesome, but IMO only worth it if you do full 3.5" exhaust. 2" headers with 3" pipes will support alot of power if custom 3.5" exhaust is not possible.

Here's a short idle clip of my ARH race headers and 3.5" exhaust.

OK, that sounds great and has the right note. Are you using stock Z06 mufflers or ZR1? I can definitely get someone to make this for me in town, when you get a chance would you shoot me any pics from when you were building it and the finished product from underneath, no rush I am a few months out from the new motor but want to keep some momentum.

This is exactly what I am looking for, thank you guys!

Here's his 3" DIY muffler mod thread...one of the cooler DIY threads in recent years IMO.
