Tractability of 700rw ZR1?
ZR1 experts... wondering how well a 700rwhp ZR1 with R888R tires will hook up in various types of enthusiastic street/country road driving under power. Right now it is at 630rwhp and hooks up very well with the current tire combo.
Just a little backgound on my late-model Vette experience/ownership. I've had a 660rwhp TT C5Z06 for 17 years. Every wide-body C6 I've driven with near this kind of power seems to handle the power, and get it to the ground, better than the C5. The chassis designs seem very, very similar,so I'm not sure if that is just improved suspension dampening and dynamics or what (very well could be).
So what is the consensus? Car will not be raced on slicks, so I think the OEM ZR1 clutch will be ok with my type of driving. The car (and clutch) has 1800 miles on it... mostly easy driving. But I do not want to be boiling the tires into 3rd gear on some fun romps on the highway.

Probably a good bet they will hook if this 720S does.

I have a Zr1 it makes 700whp 670trq and I run R888R in a 335/30/18. They hook great! I have tested them many of times on some Mexico runs in 50degree weather from a 40-50mph roll.
Takes about 10mins of driving and maybe one good hit to get them warmed up but after that its all hook and book. I have even got them warm enough on a 60degree day to roll into 1st gear and hook the top of 1st with a shift into 2nd. Love them!
