Default Valve guides Ls9 and cam installation

I have a buddy that's putting a cam in his LS9 this weekend. I told him about some folks talking about the 9 having the same issue the ls7 had. He checked his valves with 31000 miles and stated they wete all good, tight. He also stated the only thing he found was the timing chain tensioner was bad. What have other owners found on the guides on their LS9?

Thats great he found the tensioner before it caused big issues like it did for me. Im guessing we'll hear more of this as the years pass.. I did replace all of the guides at 64,000 miles because a few were a little loose.

This part was good to read - I won't reach 103,000 kms even before I'm in my grave
