Default Over rev or ??

I'm not a mechanic but a friend of mine who sold his 2009 Z06 said this is that the head looked like on the car her sold.

He had modified heads and cam.

Any ideas what caused this?

Is you’re friend the one that started a thread “rebuild” yesterday? This picture looks identical to the one in that build. Should probably follow that thread to get some answers.

This is my head and it wasn’t an over rev that’s for sure. It was 2k rpm from an over rev.

Yup. But not for any other LS or LT engines. LS7 engines had a unique set of problems.
