I know it's an old thread, but has been bumped, so I'll add to the oddity lol. My 09 ZR1 has 4 cats. The two in the manifolds and then the two in the x pipe as well. Now I am curious and going to dig into the carfax a bit more since there are a number of documented dealer visits over the years on record. The only mods it ever had before I got it were a mild-2-wild switch and integrated radar/jammer system.

Wouldn't be surprised to see prevously modded cars get demodded and random stuff thrown back on them at whatever shop did the work.

Or if a car came into dealership to replace failed cat under warranty - they would then put the new 4 cat system on.
