People usually have issues with rpm because their dyno numbers are always skewed

They do a Before and After dyno run on every single car so how is a gain skewed? Very interested to know that.

Its very easy to skew before and after - main issue is when people compare their after numbers from one shop to another. Rpm is famous for using std to bump them up.

I have no problem with shops using STD so long as it's shown or stated and is used on both the before and after (the smoothing factor should be the same and clearly shown or stated as well of course). When I work the math before and after on my car, it doesn't matter whether I'm looking at the SAE numbers or the STD numbers....the gain before and after is virtually identical regardless of which power level I'm looking at (different pulleys and fuels, for example.)

Not defending RPM....just sayin'. That said, SAE on a Dynojet seems to be the most commonly used correction.

In my case, there's only 13WHP difference between SAE3 (867WHP) and STD3 (880WHP).

13WHP can give some people the ability to claim “highest n/a ls7 in the WORLD” over other shops. (saying in the world frustrates me even more but that’s a different can o worms)

Well RPM does have the fastest SBE LS7 record and has for YEARS. So dyno must not be too far off.

I gained 211whp from installing full RPM stage 4 kit, from Stock form. That was in a shop in San Diego Ca, same tuner same dyno SAE corrected e85.

440 SAE is on the stingy side of stock (445 - 450 is probably about average)....and 651 SAE is a fairly stout number that shouldn't be tossed around lightly

If the before and after results are made available for us to see then no one has to speculate.

One of my customers did just that in 2017 with a milder Stg 3 cam and a Mamo Motorsports top end package.....ran a baseline stock before taking the car apart and then tuned on the same dyno when it was done

Since then I have tweaked thigs a good bit with some valvejob and porting program improvements and I have a few guys that will be posting similar before and after comparisons soon

This was the comparison back in 2017 and this is an SAE corrected dyno sheet....not the latest (more popular it seems) STD correction in an effort to make the numbers look better.

Green is the stock baseline of course.....blue line is a safe tune on pump gas with conservative ignition timing......the red line is E85 and the ability to give the engine more optimized timing improving the final results.

the first 650 RW SAE number I saw was one of your packages tony 😀 on tick performance’s dyno in NC.. I believe it was one of your high compression E85 setups.

AI/RPM B3 setups with your ported MSD/ NW 102 and a lighter clutch/FW will also make 650 SAE (on 93)

Stock run, was a bone stock 24k miles c6z06 on 91 pump, running perfectly fine, 429whp SAE. After Race Proven Motorsports HCI package, and Tony Mamo ported MSD, i ended up with 640whp SAE corrected same dyno same tuner, e85. 211whp pick up its impressive for sure, and feels violent at WOT!
