He only wants a ZR1 or Lambo. I'm pulling for the ZR1 so he represents the vette world.

99% INCORRECT!!!!!!! You can easily upgrade the tranny for $5000 and it will take A LOT of abuse as high as 700awhp+. Just think of it as a nice RPS triple disc clutch install on your C6Z and its the same price if you wanted to launch alot and race etc. However the failures of the trannies fail just like a corvette. Wheel hop it enough it'll break just like a corvette. If you mess up the trans launching, send to Shep trans and have redone a complete rebuild with billet gears etc costs close to $20k doing every gear. Which is completely unneccessary unless you are making 1500awhp+. Every car has its quirk, C6Z06 valve drops and weak clutches, C6ZR1 weak clutch and heat soaks badly, GTR rears are the weaker point but I can tell you they RARELY fail at the track! Its almost always a wheel hopping launch on uneven pavement on the street. So please dont try to throw off the mans for sale thread with BS.

Allow me to clarify, seems one of us is speaking of grapes(sour ones at that) and the other is meaning to speak of apples. I have been the "fast guy" track day instructor and winning road races, time trials and autocrosses for the past 35 years.
I don't give a rats south end about 10 seconds of abuse starting with a silly and destructive shock load of the driveline
If I were talking of drag racing my last thresd would be 99% bullsnot, however, since I am road racing in essence the opposite is true.
I want one of these cars to do what a ZR1 will do with nothing more than sticky tires on ALL FOUR corners. The ZR1 will have an intact warranty, the GTR will not.

My credentials are in my sig if ya need. I know a tad about the cars, their quirks, their needs and how to go fast. I just dont know how to turn the wheel at the end of the run way.
