I wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I am waiting on my 2007 LMB mn6 Z51 vert. that I special ordered last week. I am so excited as this will be my 4th vette. If it is not to late .Should I add the museum delivery? I would have to do the trip alone that’s why I didn't. I really love this site! The enthusiasm and knowledge here. I like some sarcasm but really like how everyone is so friendly and respectful to each other. I live in So Cal so I felt a vert was for me a must have option. I have a1999 vert right now, which I love. The open feeling when the top is down is for me special. Is a vert wrong or rephrase not good to modify heavily? Because of build and safety. Also I will be selling my 99 when my the new one comes. I have poked around this site and know much of the info I seek is already here but wanted to start fresh with my intro and questions. I want to be in the 10-second range, run pump gas, and have stock tires. Am I dreaming? For my situation in So. Cal weather, driving conditions, etc.. What hands down is the best-forced induction for power and reliability? My vette will be a daily driver. Also unfortunately we have some heavy freeway traffic here.

This topic is perhaps the most debated of all-time.

What it comes down to is that if you are looking for a particular ET range at the drag strip, the majority of the results will depend upon not how you make the power, but how you put it to the ground (ie traction).

But as for my opinion on the best all-around FI set up... turbo baby!

Since you asked about FI, here’s my opinion as of late:

A centrifugal supercharger compliments the LS2 very very well. Lately tuners are pushing the limits of the stock block to new heights and levels of boost. There are only a few options in the very small yet competitive centrifugal supercharger Corvette market.

East Coast Supercharging (ECS) – Manufacturers a custom kit utilizing the Paxton NOVI 1200. From what you can gather online (ECS baseline dyno numbers) this kit put down killer peak power and torque from a stock C6. Match this kits power with the great custom service and knowledge at ECS and you’ve got a killer setup. What differentiates this kit from that of Procharger is that ECS has been in the business of supercharging Corvettes and just Corvettes for years. This background is what allows ECS to set themselves apart and create a better package in the end for the enthusiast.

A&A Corvette (A&A) - Manufacturers a custom kit utilizing a Vortec centrifugal supercharger. Andy and the crew at A&A are much the same as ECS but on the west coast. They’ve also been supercharging Corvettes for years and have a great amount of knowledge that goes into their kits for the enthusiast. A difference that you can tell right away about this kit much like ECS is the use of high end components. Both A&A and ECS use only the best in their custom centrifugal supercharger kits.

Procharger – Manufacturers a kit utilizing either the P1SC or (with an upgrade fee) a D1SC centrifugal supercharger. This kit seems to be the industry standard right now for the C6 corvette. With a name like Procharger behind it you can’t really question it’s integrity. Some owners are having issues with heat because of the aftercooler blocking the radiator. However enthusiasts have found a fix to combat these issues cutting a relief in a support. Lately we’ve been seeing graphs from D1SC owners pushing the limits of the LS2 engine. D1SC cars putting out 600+ with longtubes and a cam!

Don’t worry so much about peak numbers get the kit from the company that you feel comfortable with. I haven’t gone over every difference between the available centrifugal supercharger kits. Nor have I talked about all the highlights of them all either. I just wanted to provide you with a quick summary based on my opinions. All of the manufacturers I’ve spoken about are just a phone call away, so when you get some time.. give them all a call. Good luck and enjoy your new Corvette!
