Default Problems with STS kit

I got a STS kit on my C6. The problem that I am having is that at 7lbs of boost the car does great, but when I switch to high boost which is 10 lbs, at about 120 mph the alarm goes off telling me that no oil is getting to the turbos.

Do I need a pump upgrade, or just do a seperate oiling system in the back of the car for the turbos?

Give STS a call to help troubleshoot your problem, good luck.

Honestly, that oil pump system to lubricate the turbos is what turned me off from buying the STS kit. If it fails, you're quickly buying two new turbo's.

You most likely just need to slightly adjust the sensitivity of the oil pressure alarm. They are sometimes just a little too sensitive when you run the higher boost levels. Find the Alen screw, under the rubber cap, on the sensor and turn it clockwise 1/2 turn.

10 psi is abput where you will need the oil pump upgrade , also , 578 at 10 psi level on a 6-speed is kind of low as I have gotten 597 out of a stock C5 at 7 psi . But maybe it is detuned for safety (which it probably should be on the stock bottom end) ?

Kind of like a fuel cell in the truck dedicated for the turbos

This will ensure that the turbos are getting oil quick enough at higher boost levels. Also I am doing a forged bottom end LSx base motor. I plan on running 20 psi with a 35 shot of nos also a turbo upgrade to a GT35R

To be honest with you, There are a few things that I am unhappy about with the STS kit..

The oil system.
No base tune available from STS at the time of install.
Had a problem with baffle in the 06 vette. Appartly it is differnt in the 05. I went sent 3 pumps back to STS and told them they werent working properly. On the 4th time they told me to make the baffle larger with a drill bit. This solved it.. Only after oil passed through my turbos 3 times.
