I used the stock wires for 5k miles with zero problems. However, I am having some aluminum valve covers fabricated that will have brackets to relocated the coils up and closer together. This will require longer wires, and I have chosen MSD 8.5mm's.
I use Taylor 409 10.4mm Race wire.
I have 1-7/8 headers which are closer to the tip of the plug
I use some taylor heat sleeves to protect the wires from extreme heat. They work well.
Heres a pic of the wires with sleeves installed.
