Default LS3 and Boost?????

Hello

Has anyone done a Supercharger (ie Maggie, ECS or A&A) or Turbo (ie APS) on a 2008 yet. Just curious to see how they respond to boost. They seem to love a new cam and headers from what I have read.

Default Supercharged LS3

I am currently installing a brand new LS3 stroked to 416 cid with all forged internals, a head & cam package, and my Procharger witha 9-10 lbs of boost. Should be approx 700hp to 735 hp at the wheels

Default LS3 Stroker

Watch for your belt breaking if you run it at the strip or track. A friend of mine had a 402 stroker at 14lbs of boost from a Procharger and he kept breaking his belt. Finally, he went to twin turbo with auto transmission. Good luck

This is one of the many reasons to go with the ECS Paxton kit if you go with a blower.

Front mount TT's with auto's are a lot of fun at the track.

To the OP,
I "believe" the LS3 is only making 15-20 HP more than the LS2 because the pistons (ring lands) are the weak link in these motors.
I hope I'm wrong and the LS3 can remain healthy make significantly more power than the LS2.

Personally, I like the idea of making as much power while keeping the stock longblock healthy.

That should not happen, we never have problems with belts breaking, never! This C5 is making 740 rwhp and went a hole year on one blower belt, driving to and running twice a week on a 2.5 mile road course for two hours at a time. This same Corvette was also driven half way across the Country and back on a vacation on that same blower belt.
