Default underpowered?

well, for some reason my car feels much slower than before, I know its not me getting used to the power, but for some reason it just feels slower than ever although the weather is getting pretty cool over here. Also two of my friends noticed the same thing, the car basically doesn't pull like it used to before.

My tune is really messed up, HOWEVER this change happened with me not touching the tune, I just switched to a lighter aluminum flywheel/clutch and double valvesprings for added safety.

My alternator got damaged last week, however it started to function just fine all by itself, so voltage at cruise and WOT seem fine, and there is no knock retard.

where else could I look, any advice would be welcome, im starting to hate the car honestly.

are you still seeing the same amount of boost as you were before the flywheel change? If not, check the belt and tensioner. If you're getting some belt slippage it would feel a little weaker, but not have any other symptoms (knock, ck eng light, etc)

interesting, I noticed a LITTLE lower boost, but I didn't seem to care, boost before this change was a tad above 5PSI, and now is a tad less than 5PSI, but I would guess the difference I am talking about is like 0.3 PSI different (negligible perhaps?). I don't know if this is causing any problem, I could check the belts tension, however I was concerned about tightening it too much and breaking the belt?

I will reply back at your PM tonight as well, thanks any other opinions? I know some problems are very hard to diagnose and dont show up as errors, where else should I look?

.3 difference in boost may be negligible, but then again, if you're used to a little over 5 psi and now you're seeing a little under that, it may be noticeable. Get that belt as tight as you can, you aren't going to break it. The spring in the tensioner will allow it to move when the engine is running, so it won't break.

Don't worry, We'll get you runnning good!
