Default Difference in MPG after SuperCharging

Anyone that had a stock car and supercharged it, retuned, etc. how much difference in mpg did you see?? Just wondering what the average difference is, as they are playing games again with gas prices, its kinda something to think about. I saw a difference right away, with my last mods. Thanx.....Lenny

I can only tell you what happened with my normal long distance driving milage, ie, without the turbos spooled up. I went from 25.3 mpg to 30.5 mpg.

Expect it to be noticeably worse. The best I can get the DIC to read is 25-27mpg in 6th cruising, and that isnt even accurate anymore because of the 60lbs injectors I am using. You also have to factor in the temptation factor of pushing the pedal down for some fun! I would say I get less than 10mpg average. Do I mind, not at all!

On the freeway, at cruising speeds, it should not change.
If your fuel trims are good, the same amount of fuel is being used to propel the car forward as before. The only difference would be the parasitic loss of the blower itself. With the BOV open, that would equate to less drag than the AC compressor.
Now if you dip into the throttlle, that all changes. You need fuel to make horsepower.

My 05 gets 22.9 MPG on the freeway with the procharger. That is real world 70 to 75 MPH used by taking miles by total gallons.

I had an 03 Magnacharged ZO6, and noticed an increase of 1 MPG average, mostly in town driving.

I've seen 14 mpg around town, 22 mpg on the highway, and 10 mpg at the track with a maggie.

My LS3 with the A&A Vortech V2, LG long tube Pros, high flow cats, Dyno and street tuned averages 22-23 mpg per tank, with mixed city and hwy. I get my #'s the old way, by deviding miles driven by gallons put in the tank. The DIC is off by 25% on average. 516/484 to the wheels. The #60 injectors hurt you when you get in the gas. On a track day at a local 3 mile road course I managed about 5 mpg.
