Exactly.

If a bone-stock car could run a max of 6lbs of boost (without detonation occurring) and then headers were added...the boost pressure would drop. Let's assume it drops to 5lbs. The power output would stay the same as the same quantity of air is running through the engine. However, now that the boost pressure is lower (it is now 5lbs), could a smaller pulley be installed to raise the boost pressure back up to 6lbs? At this point the car would be making the boost it was originally making (6lbs) but would be flowing more air then it original was (at 6lbs) and thus making more power.

Is the above statement correct?

The rest of the post is correct, however this part quoted above is the only misconception. The power would be increased with the headers and lower boost... Over no headers and higher boost as long as the pulley was the same... (More Efficient=More Power)

Nice graph. Who did the install? Just wondering if the installer is local to you as I'm in East TN and have been thinking about a low boost s/c or turbo setup.

East Coast Supercharging did the install.

There IS a reason I pick the ECS S/C kit above all others... and their results at the track speak for themselves
Thanks! Much appreciated

So far we have not ran out the 1500 (point where extra boost no longer makes additional power) but I am in the middle of working out the brackets for a 2200 self contained unit for the C6 LS2/3/7.
I will keep everyone posted on it, GreekC6 is dropping his car off for the final mock up next week.

Not until you drop yours off.
(we will have the 2200 like I said before) soon. Although I would only recommend it on fully forged engines with all necessary supporting mods.

If a car has headers, is a different sized (i.e. smaller) pulley used?
With the restrictor plate design we include with the kit, boost can be regulated by inlet size changes. Our C5 kits have ran 9 second passes by simply increasing, or removing the restrictor plate on an otherwise base kit. So pulley changes are not necessary to a rather high level of boost. Max of what a stock engine can handle to say the least. From there if you did want an eight rib or smaller 6 rib pulley, the head unit does not have to be removed to make the change. We designed the brackets so a pulley change, even 6 to 8 rib, is just a single nut and swap of the pulley.

If I remember correctly, I think they mentioned they are working on getting the 2200 ready for the C6, though.
I'll have to check that out, thanks!

We can help you out with truck freight if you would like to have it shipped to us for the install. We also have an install center in TN. as well.

That would be Nick Steffens in Knoxville? I talked with Nick the other day, and he's pretty backed up right now, unfortunately. I may be able to wait a while though.

I just had my ECS kit installed on my C6 M6. With kooks headers 1 7/8 no cats, magnaflow exhaust, blower cam, and 11lbs of boost my car dynoed at 587rhwp and 527lbs of torque on a mustang dyno. The car is sickly fast. This kit is amazing. ECS guys make a great kit!!!
