Dyno Results

My tuner said HUGE gains about 4 times. I picked up 65 rwhp and 87 rwtq

I assume you re-tuned the car?
Your original numbers -513/453-, were clearly very low for an LS3 running a 1200CFM blower. Now you are making what similar setups with the same kit make... So while I would like to apologize to you for doubting your results at first when you tried this comparison using two different dynos, I still don't think you gained 77Ft-Lbs torque and 64HP at the wheels with just a swap of primaries. Not when we have people like Mr. Big making 150 more WHP than you or me with the same headers you thought are too small... Plus when I look at your gains, they are unlike ANY other before/after comparison I've ever seen; +50ft-lbs at 3000RPM? It is like the whole torque curve just got bumped up evenly, which is not what normally happens when volumetric efficiency is changed in an engine (the location of the torque peak changes and the curve changes with it)...
It seems to me like there was something wrong with your tune and it got fixed and now your car makes all the power it should be making.
Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to believe there are 77 Ft-lbs of torque to be gained by adding 1/8" to the diameter of my header primaries, but unfortunately that would put me at 660whp/600ft-lbs torque on a 3.8" pulley and we both know that is not happening

So you gained power, and I congratulate you, but I'm still waiting on my own (same day same dyno same car same setup back to back) header comparison before I feel like the case is closed on this one...
What are your thoughts on the possibility that maybe the tune you had at first was not quite optimal?
BTW: Mustang dynos are typically very low reading; I have no doubts you'd be looking at over 600WHP on a Dynojet.

Plus your forgetting this is three changes and all Fact!
1. primary to 1 7/8
2. exhaust from 2 1/2 to 3"
3. Solid piping raised my boost from 8 psi to 9psi
This is the results some may cough but the fact is it made
as 578rwhp and 530 rwtq on a Mustang with 390 gears.AND a ZR-1 is in deep dodo
in a straight line!

First tune was not bad but the changes did mess it up as the AF
was off. We tightened the belt and made 547 and 507 with the SAME
tune. So start believing it! Anyway you slice it the headers come out big as look at the 40-50
pound increase at 2500 you don't tune that!

After you gain some but less that I because your already 3" inch exhaust.
Don't forget to change that rubber out I have said that since I got the kit!

So while I think you gained power, I still can't believe it was that much; I am convinced your original numbers were just too low to begin with...
But I hope you are right! I really do, because I already ordered those headers
