I have a A4 Z51 05. I want to be in the mid 11s all I have on the car is a vararam and borla tips. I was thinking a 100 shot and a tune might get me there. Im just worried about the motor blowing and if i ever decide to sell can i take the kit off and no one will know? I plan on doing 100 shot and a tune then gears and converter. I would do LT headers but dont want to deal with inspection law. Im after low 11s.
Im just looking for the best way to go about this.

I was reading that a dry kit is really the best way to go, the N/A tune will run to its full capability. Then when i decide to spray it will pull the timing. Can I run nitrous safely with just a Vararam? Im just after 460 RWHP if i decide i can always add headers and a cam later. Any input would be nice.

This statement is probably why you are not getting any answers...

BK,

Welcome to the forum! Great questions!

I have a A4 Z51 05. I want to be in the mid 11s all I have on the car is a vararam and borla tips.
This is a good starting point!

[quote] I was thinking a 100 shot and a tune might get me there. [\quote]

Provided you have traction (a good DR will get you the traction you need!) AND you can 60' properly, then yes, you'll see mid 11's all day.

Im just worried about the motor blowing
The motor will be fine at this power level.

and if i ever decide to sell can i take the kit off and no one will know?
No one would know unless you told them. However, you need to disclose this sort of information!

I plan on doing 100 shot and a tune then gears and converter.
Gears and a converter will make a BIG difference. Big! Probably .5-.7 off your ET in the 1/4!!! (again, provided you can get traction )

I would do LT headers but dont want to deal with inspection law. Im after low 11s.
Im just looking for the best way to go about this.
All covered above (but headers make a huge difference - especially after you add the nitrous to the mix!).

Surprisingly the Borla tips won't prevent the installation of Nitrous.

The Vararam will make it an easier install, actually.

Yes, it's a very easy install. Especially with a dry shot.

I was just worried i would need more supporting mods to do it. I want it to run as safe as possible.

a 100 dry shot is very safe on these motors. A 150 wet shot is also very safe on these motors.

Call Brian @ Hinson Super Cars (he's a supporting vendor here - 205 267 6387). Tell him you want the same kit as on Ed Traylors car. It's an NX setup with ALL the safety nets so you won't blow up!

(since you don't really know what you are doing with N20, you need all of the safety nets so you don't blow your engine up by spraying too early or at redline... )

HSW is another option. Their prices are remarkable and the service is top notch.

Their wet and dry kits are both great. PM Nick@HSW if you have any questions. Great guys.
