I'm not sure why people get so spooked out about 10 lbs... as long as the tune pulls out timing at high inlet temps, you will be just fine.

Can we assume you think cooler IAT's are not important in connection with boost and meth is useless?

Not at all, I do realize that a meth kit is added insurance and doesn't hurt, especially when seeing over 10 pounds or so on stock internals or when running a lot of timing, or if you just plan on constantly whomping on it a lot....

I was not trying to say that meth is useless... I was just merely stating that seeing 10 lbs of boost will not necessarily mean the he cannot be safe without running meth.

Other FI Corvette owners are seeing 9-10 lbs at redline without running meth and they are holding up just fine.. Take Powerlabs for instance, he sees 10 lbs at redline, no meth and never heard any issues from his set up.. I only hear about how satisfied he is with his car

GreekC6, Powerlabs, myself and a few others are seeing 9-10 lbs as well with no issues.

The folks at ECS would NEVER tell someone to run 9-10 lbs without meth if they thought it would hurt the motor.. In a nutshell, it is good to have at that level, but not absolutely necessary

Peace,
Hulk

you are right, it's only must if you want to make the system more efficient, and more than 620-650rwhp
Methanol injection is a VERY important part of the setup in the more efficient, bigger horsepower cars...

I think you made the wise choice in leaving the stock cam in. You can never change just the cam.. Change the cam and at a minimum you'll want better valve springs. One thing leads to another and before you know it you have a forged motor and ported heads.

You made a wise choice with ECS.. They are very highly regarded.

Enjoy your trip and welcome to the FI club.
