I like the compact nature of the gauge being the location for the boost amount.
I would like the ability to have 10psi in first and hit a button to increase it for subsequent gears (without silly pricing). Is there a boost controller that does this?
Seems to me like it would work with a SC as well as with a TC?
We built a Procharged vette with a EB2 and wastegate setup. Didn't work as well as I had hoped. My electronically adjustable restrictor plate method works much better.
I had it on my 700hp dsm a couple years ago. I thought it was a POS, I ended up taking it out and used a standard $50 ball and spring manual boost controller instead (which worked just as good if not better). If you want an awesome boost controller with boost by gear, check out the AMS 1000 Boost controller.
i haven't personally tried this myself, but am curious, maybe you could try
in hptuners, goto the torque management tab, then general, and take a look at the Max engine Torque vs RPM vs Gear table. it uses the ETC to reduce torque
it comes maxed out stock.
if all your injector data is correct and all airflow is accounted for, then pcm can properly calculate the Tq of the motor.
so try adjusting the 1st gear colum to 200 and see if that does anything for you, then bump it up to the limit where you loose traction. some tables dont do squat in hptuners.
i haven't tried this myself, might be to good to be true.

p.s. just read it was for a TT, maybe a wastegate controller would be the best choice, like you've mentioned.
