I guess my point was that just because you have 1500 WHP doesn't make your car quick (I know, that just doesn't sound right). It's all about application, as I see it anyway. We have guys here on the forums that run faster with less HP, so it's not "ALL" about the dyno numbers... As it applies to the OP's question though, I would say that he (Vegas Vette) wins. And the gents saying that the standing mile tells a better story of your cars worth, and will have to agree.
It's kinda like having a 12" dong. It's only a good thing if you can get it up, and know how to use it. Not like I would know.... :o

Now the same car might run in the 8s on the good track and then 10s on the **** track.
Also with the 1/4mile you start to bring other things into the equatiuon like suspenssion. all this makes any car to car comparisons very difficult.
I agree that its actually using your car what you intened it for will show you how fast the 'car' is but it cant really be used for testing engine power.
again not trying to start anything

Very true mate. I think people often forget that no matter what formula of motorsport/racing they are in! lol its about applying the power you have avalaible to you.
recently saw a 300bhp race car (ex WTCC) and it would thrash the **** off of road cars with 2 to 3 times the power even at high speed tracks. Then you see the speed the race car is taking the corners at and how effective the brakes are and you see where the time is being made. guess its the same in drag racing.....
