Ok, just got car back from tunner and wanted to throw up. Not the tuners fault though. 05 A&A SC, cam, AR headers made 606 to rear in december and took it back today for a check up tune and started out at 500. Finally got up to 570, but that still sucks. 9 degrees warmer with 10 less humidity. Only 3 changes were made. Went to a 335 tire, hyperlube octane booster, and swapped the american racing cats for the american racing cat delete. Thats it! Also, as a side question, only able to get 18 degrees of timing and using a 3.8 pulley its making 10lbs of boost. So..... Please help me get back into the sixses!!!!
I bet that its running on the low octane spark table with a lot less timing......or worse case scenario, the tuner made both high and low octane spark tables the same with too much timing and something happened to the engine
will do a compression check on Monday and replace the plugs. when I pulled the plugs yesterday, they were rust colored and i assumed it was from the otane booster. the tuner siad wants more timing and wants to try cooler plugs ( currently ngk tr6) to achieve that. i like my tuner but he too seems baffled. he also told me to do a compression check before installing ngk br8. any insite would help. not sure on a/f but will ask.
I run 17 degrees with 75% meth with 10.5 afr at wot and very low AIT even in Florida heat...610 WHP no cam no heads bone stock just headers.with no problems (yet)..

I don't know who your "local" tuner is, but you're in Texas...a interstate blast away from a good amount of the recognized top, reputable Vette tuners in the entire US. I could name 3-4 off the top of my head that are a mornings' drive from you.
Pick one, make an appointment, and head on out. Worst case, you might have to spend the night. But it sounds like it would still be cheaper than having your local guy learn troubleshooting at your expense.
