Well, Edelbrock IS in the works of producing a kit for the LS7 and LS7 HEADS..
But, this motor is running LS9 heads which are similar to the LS3, including the ports. So, its not bottom end that makes it work but the heads and right now the LS3 is readily available.

P&M used the same head/block configuration on their motor to make the LS9 GM blower set up fit the LS7 engine. Appears to work just fine. Watch out for the hike in cylinder pressures due to the higher compression ration. Mild blower only! P&M dropped the compression ratio on their engine by using lower comression pistons (dished). Check the latest edition of Corvette Magazine for a nice little article on the P&M motor.
Hard to say, LPE pushed the LS9 into the 9s with an overdrive pulley set up and running on race fuel. Some time ago Kenny Duttwieller did a LS3 engine that made 900+ at the crank with a TVS2300. So they obviously make the power.
If one didn't want to wait for the LS7 kit for a Z06. One can easily use a set of LS3/L92 heads on a LS7 and use the Edelbrock blower. It would work fine, but I am sure that their canned engine calibrations won't work with an LS7 but any competent tuner can take care of that for you. Using a set of LS3 head with a blower on top of the LS7 would work fine. The blower will over come any inefficiencies of the LS3 head over the LS7 head. I think that with a stock engine the differences between the two wouldn't be much. One could always have the LS3 heads ported to get about the same flow numbers as a stock LS7 head.
