With my old setup at 12lbs I made 689rwhp@578rwtq.I had a Stock LS2 engine with all the Basic boltons,RPM Motors FI cam,Straight meth W/dual nozzles.

So my guess at 15lbs you will be right at 705rwhp/602rwtq

nah... 15psi on a s/c is not as bad as 15psi on a turbo car... he will be fine.

I say anything over 700 is a win..

In theory..14.7 psi should double the NA hp..of the car.. so you have to be making 350rwhp? NA?

this was true at stock compression which is now changed, the cam also plays a roll, your also assuming the engine is working properly

Yup, the Champagne glass does indeed have my name on it! Even more random: I got it at last year's "Punkin Chunkin World Championship".

Yeah, I'll definitely feel like it if it doesn't break 700, but at the same time I won't be terribly surprized. This whole build has been a continuous disappointment from day 1

I do hope ECS can get it done by Friday though, I'd like to attend this year's "Show and Go" at Englishtown.

The issue with comparing this build to others is that the boost level is deceiving. Most guys out there saying they have 15psi like my stock bottom end did last year was that I had the 15psi at the RPM the cam peaked at: 6200-6300rpm. If I wound out my S/C to 7200rpm it wouldnt have made nearly the same power at 7200 but it would have made more boost, so I have to say that Sam's car will mimic the power results of a car that has his boost level at or around the low 6000's. In other words if your car has 11psi at 6000-6200rpm it will make power comparable to cars that see 11psi at the HP peak.

Had I wound out my car to 7100 where the rev limiter was, I would have had something like 18psi. I think this car is going to mimic a 11-12PSI build. I know different head units make boost in the lower rpms differently than at peak.

Good luck with the build.

Spin:

My previous build made peak power right as it smacked the rev limiter at 6800RPM where it made a peak boost of almost 11psi. You have a good point (in that I do not expect to see peak power at 7200RPM and thus not at 15psi) but I don't think it will behave like it is seeing "11 psi", because the implication of that would be that I went down 3 pulley sizes to not go up in boost at all and make the same power I made before... I imagine it will still peak around where it peaked before, with around 14psi. This is not how superchargers work; smaller pulley = more airflow = more power. The 3.4" pulley I am running makes 700WHP+ on similar builds, which is why I was so dumbfounded to see 620whp from it on the last engine.

Old dyno discussed here:

Since then I changed:
10.9:1 comp dropped to 10.5:1
LS2 Cam into ZR1 Cam
Si-Trim into T-Trim (bigger blower, higher efficiency at higher flow numbers/boost)
3.8" pulley into 3.4" pulley
93 pump into pump gas + 100% Methanol Injection

If you make 11psi at 6100 and another car makes that boost there, it will be pretty much the same performance from 6200 down. Thats what I meant. He says he has a 11psi build and he isnt thinking that if he winds to 7200 its a 15psi car, yet the two cars will cover a very similar area under the curve.

Man... This is like watching one of those dramatic movies about somebody who keeps having bad luck but you assume at the end of the story there will be a good outcome so you keep watching the movie anticipating the happy ending...

My guess - 722hp/641tq

Default Think Positive!

You have applied your very best and if your karma is good it will break 700. If below 700 you will have to figure out whom you thwarted and redeem yourself. I believe in karma
