I just got my car back from a build in which we put forged internals, blower cam and a YSI on my Z06. I drove her home for a 10 hour trip and I am a little worried about the high temperatures. She ran 240 degrees at freeways speeds in 94 degree outside temps with the AC on. Even when it cooled down in low 60 temps with the AC off, she ran at 220. If I run her hard thru 2 gears, the temp immediately shoots up to 240+. Something seems off. She has the Dewitts radiator, 160 stat and a Dewitt dual fan set up. Am I being paranoid or does it seem way to warm?

Thanks
That seams a little warm to me. I would check to make sure you got all of the air out of the cooling system.
If you do have air in the system, you need to fix it pronto. Depending on where the air is, you can get some serious and potentially engine damaging hot spots.

How would you bleed boost into the cooling system???
I think he meant "pushing water" but if it were pushing water it would get hot for a short period of time after a high boost run. Doesn't sound like it's pushing water if its staying hot.
Wow, I was told by the shop that this was still within normal operating temperature. I bled the system and got some better results. But, I think the main problem is the dual fans are running as soon as the ignition is on. I noticed now, that the charging system was getting a huge draw and dropping to 8 volts. Then the car would start to heat up again. Looks like the fans are possibly cutting in and out.
I have a D1SC, big cam, stock radiator, twin fans, 160 thermostat and in the Texas 104 degree heat my car never got that hot even in traffic I never saw over 226. Once I got moving it dropped to 205. Now that it's under 100 I run 190 on the highway. I would get it checked quickly. Doesn't sound right to me.

Could be such a bad head gasket leak that it's pushing water even when not in boost. Had a Jeep do this to me. So much air being pumped into the water jackets that it would overheat almost immediately.
Check for a stream (constant or maybe only on revving) of bubbles in the reservoir.
I'd be interested to know how the twin DeWitts fans are set up. Sounds like they may be hard wired to be on all the time. Doesnt really sound like fans though if its not cooling down on the highway.
Could be s pinched hose near the head unit. It's tight right there. My instinct is still telling me something is wrong internally. This is not an iron block is it?
It is not a iron block and it is a complete built shortblock. I don't think it is anything internal. The fans are hard wired in upon the ignition. Last night while driving it was cooling fine and then began to heat up. The voltage on the car dropped to 8 volts and the service charging sytem lit up. Then the voltage went back to normal and the temps came back down. Seems maybe the fans are cycling on and off. It is not doing that while idling.
Like has been said, could be a number of things. do you mind telling us who did the build.
also check the simple things. on the 2010s there is a shroud that closes off the air, a recent post on a GS build, and that was the cause of his high temps. so make sure air is getting thru the condenser/radiator to the fans.
some how the fan setup doesnt sound right to me. my twin spals are set up with factory controls to have them come on and off controled by the computer. that can be fixed on your system if it is not set up that way. also the fans may not be set to 95% or so the way they are wired. also the 8 volts is not good
