Boost leak help
I have my boost guage installed and I'm concerned that I have a leak. I have to be at about 3/4 throtle to see any boost at all and I never get more than 3 or 4 lbs of boost (I've not had it 100% WOT for more than a moment though because Police are this countys #one commodity. Does this sound like a boost leak?
The belt seams to be wearing normaly and when I let offff I can hear the BO|||V open. I'm drawing about 20lbs vacuum most of the time and there appears to be better boost at the intake (I'll move the nipple to veerify).

Part throttle boost will always be lower, so you are going to have to hold this thing to the floor and do a pull if you want to make sure it is hitting the same peak you had on the dyno...
Incidentally... If you really can't floor the car anywhere then you really don't need a blower: the stock car is fully capable of producing speeding tickets

That is more or less what I was thinking,but I was more seeking some experience of others to compare my findings with.
When I accelerate from 0 to 80 WOT in 2nd, I'd expected to see the boost up to about 6 and I am wondering if that was in line with what others have on the A&A kit (Iwas seeing just 4). Maybe it is normal...
By the way I want a fast car even if I I don't race "today" for the same reason I have a gun and didn't hunt or shoot "today"... I'm meening to go to the track when time allows and I go to the range when time allows.
If it were necesity that inspired me I'd own a pick up truck.

I don't think it is a leak, I was looking for boost without being in a high boost condition thinking RPM would = boost. Things are looking good so far. I'll have to take her up to ECS for a good tune after the Cam job this winter.
