What ever happened...

) could all rejoice. Here is how it continued:
Mike from ECS found me a shop in Cleveland, Ohio called "Corvette Conspiracy", who turned out to be GREAT guys. I had my car towed there and booked a hotel 2 miles away in town for the night, where I went out for a nice dinner and a few (OK, a lot) drinks with my significant other.
The next morning at 7AM Corvette Conspiracy received a Paxton Novi 1500 overnighted by ECS and got to work on my car. By noon the next day, after lunch, I was back on the road.
I arrived at my final destination at 3AM the next day, having driven the remaining 900 miles or so through some horrible weather (torrential rains) which slowed me down significantly. It was a tiring trip, but it went along uneventfully.
Since then I have continued to daily drive my supercharged C6. I am now living in Upper Peninsula Michigan, and will be here untill May of next year on a work assignment. Its a small town, and the car attracts an enormous amount of attention. I can see people photographing it in the parking lot at work almost daily.
Two weeks ago, I drove down to Chicago; 450 miles each way. It was a fantastic trip and the car performed flawlessly.
I have not had any issues with the car since arriving here, other than having to refill my Methanol tank again (the roads here lend themselves well for going into boost
). This whole ordeal was frustrating and expensive, don't get me wrong. But like anything else involving a car, it was a simple matter of knowing who to talk to, and spending the money in the right place. Not thrilled about it, but it is behind me now. Paxton is taking care of me with the failed blower, and I will be able to recoup some of what I spent. The only other thing I've done since arriving was washing the car:

I continue driving it exactly the same way I always have: hard. The day I'm afraid to get on it, or afraid to go on a long trip for fear it might break, or afraid to get on it while on a long trip, it will stop being a worthwhile vehicle. It still delivers.
This was post new blower:
I'll continue enjoying it every day untill the snow falls, take it out next spring, drive it some more, race my favorite race of the year in May (Imports Vs Domestics shootout), move back to Jersey, hit up the Texas Mile, drive it some more, then sell it at the end of the year. In 2012 I will buy another one and start all over, with a few lessons learned

I'm happy that everything's worked out, and the car is obviously running like a dream.
I was thinking just a few months ago that you were going to take a match to that bad boy and be done with it.
Two snaps up in a circle for Sam and his tenacity!

I'll PM you next time I plan a trip to Chicago
If I don't end up going to NJ for the Toys For Tots Run next weekend I'll drive my 'Vette downtown and probably end up at the glass bar at the Hayatt drinking some of those giant Martinis
