I would bet a wodden nickel that the Dewitts aftermarket C6 fan setup is no more/less noiser than the Dewitts C5 aftermarket dual fan rig.

The C5 has a single/dual mode controled by the PCM. I will turn on the second fan depending on Engine Temps and A/C.

The C6 Dewitts Fan Rig is either running at all ON on or all OFF. No in between. So if a C6 was at idle next to you, you would hear the fans cycle on and off say every 30 seconds.

While in a stock C6 the fan would stay at a constant state of (guessing) 70% power.

In the big picture does it matter? probablly not.

It only fits the Dewitts radiator (OK) but it also DOES NOT work with your factory fan controller. It uses it's own controller and requires it's own larger wiring and relays to work. Not exactly a plug-n-play install but if you need the extra airflow you'll need to bite the bullet and start integrating the supporting hardware. If you really need that airflow you don't have many other options. Most of us don't need to move that much air.

One other note...I haven't heard this thing run but at full tilt I bet a beer that it is screaming! If you are moving air you are making noise. But if you need that much airflow you probably own a car that you can't hear yourself think in anyhow. Another concern I'd have is the power draw on your charging system is probably large.

With all of that said....Dewitts makes good stuff!

If there is someone on the forum running one of these Dual Fan Dewitts setups it would be nice to get their spin on it.

I have a shortened dewitts with my A&A YSI with the dual spal fans bought from ARUN. They work great with the factory controller. You just need to make sure that you do not allow the fans above 90%. Greater than that would draw more current than the factory controller is designed to handle and a melted center conductor in the controller harness will result. This information was researched and proven by tjwong. I believe at 90% the spal's draw the same as the factory fan at max load. Dewitts actually used info from the testing that tjwong did and changed the connector to the OEM type he spec'd. Water tight and very heavy duty. The dual fan have not been any louder than factory but the true test will be this summer.

Is the dewitts a direct replacement with a ECS setup? I also had the problem with the melted center conductor. I cleaned the conductor twice, what is the permanant fix for this?

Not sure on ECS but could not imagine it to different from the A&A. As I stated before not running the fans above 90% should prevent the terminal melting issue. I also run a 160 deg stat.
