I recently sold my ECS built stock bottom end record holder (C5). Other than filling up the meth and putting gas in the car, I did nothing to it in two years, not even change the belt. The car ran flawlessly and is still running 9.7's as of last week with the new owner. I had always stated that it was the best car ever built, but I lied, my new car is...
Enter my 2007 Z51. Get used to hearing about it because it may set a record or two of its own...
Again built by the guys at, ECS, it consists of a forged LS2, stage one fuel system, built tranny, 3,600 stall, and upgraded rear.
The car drives better than my last, idles smother, shifts firmer, sounds better, etc.. I don't know how they did it, but this car is nicer to drive around town, and will most certaintly be quicker on the track. I hated giving up my C5 until now.
I'll post up some track times when the car is broken in and the tracks are in open. I can't wait!
As an aside, I'd like to apologize to the guys at ECS for my whining, complaining, and bickering, as well as the dumb things I said. Giving up a perfect car to take a chance on another is tough, but you proved me wrong, and I couldn't be happier.

Thanks Dave, glad your enjoying it!!
I'm looking forward to taking it to the track in the spring, I'm very confident that the car will surpass any present A6 cars at the moment, which I believe is 9.9's now, and by a fair amount too!
Still flawless, I hope I don't jinx it. I'm on my second tank of gas finally. I have just over 300 miles on it, I need another 400 or so until I can beat on it. Not that it matters, with the runflats the car is dangerous at 15% throttle so I wont be going all out any time soon anyway. I hope to have to broken in by the end of March for it's checkup and oil change at ECS. My wife drives it as much as I do, I let here run to the store to help put miles on it, she like the car for more than my C5 Z, as do I. Too bad I can't afford one for her.
