Very interested in the ZR1 gearbox(TR6060) or possibly the Z06 variant, with the 08 diff but,...the 3.42 gear set,..is going to kill my possibilities of going higher then the low 200's in the standing mile. Is anyone that you know of, a vendor or anyone, planning on doing gears for these? I am interested in a 3.08 or even numerically lower. I know it's a shot in the dark but,..I am interested. If not, I need to rethink options.
Thanks.
(I did search-pulled nothing informative up)
I am not planning on going above 6500-6800 in the mile. 335/35/18 inch wheels...for the number crunchers.

contact ECS.... they are doing this for me as we speak (t56 built with tr6060 ZR1 gears while keeping the 3.42's).
Just saw your post in the other thread... didnt realize your looking to go more than 221 and break records... better have plenty of power for that
Thanks bud,...got the power covered. I want to change the DIFFERENTIAL gear,...not the TR6060 gearset(I wantthe TR6060 trans with ZR1 gears but with a different diff gear-not a 3.42).

Anyone else?
You need to talk to RPM. They're as good as it gets!
My guys can build you a differential (base differential ring gear size non-Z06/ZR1) and use the following ratios.
2.56
2.73
2.93
3.15
3.42
3.73
3.90
4.10
The differential will be built to be a direct bolt in and fit the ZR1 TR-6060. It can also be built using a rear differential fluid cooler pump as well along with many other options.

Is the base differential ring gear as strong as the Z06/Zr1?
Btw order ur tranny now and maybe ull have it before may event! Blah
lol, I heard they were difficult to get.

Awesome Rodney, sounds like the route I need to take.

I will but, not for the street. I think it will be spin city, and not super useable. Not only that, I think I will run out of RPM with that trans and gear set before the end of the mile... in theory anyways. What, 203mph at that RPM?... in 6th? Not enough if I wanna do better then average in the standing mile. For the drag strip....I am with you!

when you put gears in a z0 rear you have to put in a smaller carrier and basically makes the rear weaker..
that being said.. there are lots of cars going fast with base rear ends.
Awesome, great to know.
My bad for the delayed THANKS,...been a lil occupied.

Where you getting 203 ? the top speed of the ZR1 ?
I`ve never done the gear math on a ZR1,...I am only going based on what I read on the internet,...of someone saying all they got out of a Zr1 was that speed,..at a higher RPM then I wanted.... shame on me for being an internet douchel(I am saying this jokingly not offensivly or defensivly) on the ratio/speed. However, I have done this math multiple times with my current gearbox and setup.
But,..since we're here now,... doing the math for that trans spec, and doing the math for my 18" wheels, @ 6500 rpms, I am looking @ 211mph with that gearbox and 3.42's ....
If soo,..thats just not gonna do it for me man. Not gonna go through this trouble to NOT go in the 220's. I don't see that happening with a 3.42 and that box.
