In the market for a supercharger producing in the 625 hp range (at the crank). Anybody running around those numbers? Do in need to replace the clutch with an aftermarket clutch or will the stock on do the job? any additional drive line tweeks to handle the extra ponies?
625 at the crank is easily attainable with pretty much any centri supercharger kit. I really like my A&A on my 07 car. I have over 14,000 supercharged miles making 570rwhp (over 650 at the crank) and have had no major motor issues at all. I did break the mainshaft on the trans which was quite costly to replace (with an RPM level 5). Stock clutch will not last very long unless it's an LS7 clutch, and even that will be maxed out. I've had no problems with my LS7 clutch so far, but know eventually it will need to be replaced.

Well said. Most of the cars that leave here are more or less stock including the clutch and drive line, and most stay that way for a long time. However, if you know your going to be rough on the car, race it etc, then plan on things like a clutch, tires, shaft in the diff to start with.
Good luck with your build, let us know if we can help answer questions for you.

I know that I love to smash the GO pedal, though I no longer have much desire to set land speed records, it is very fun to be able to haul some ***
For the power level of my new build (I'm guessing about 600rwhp), it's probably overkill but I'm upgrading the axle/hub, torque tube, output shafts, transmission, torque converter, and going to coilovers. Labor is so expensive that it kind of makes more sense to do it now while everything is out
Again, thanks for the input it's much appreciated. Since I drive with a level head and do not track the car it sounds to me like I can probably live with the stock setup from the clutch back.
