So, with the 3" and no exhaust after the downpipes it has creep issues?

In for more results.

Not unless you're goal is to see how much money you can spend. I've watched LSX cars go 8s with stock intake manifolds. Spend your money where it matters..

Thanks, that is what was said in another thread to me also. I have ran across some threads on here and ls1tech where people benifited from it, my interest is, forget the money, take this car and dyno with stock IM then put on the FAST, what would happen? Surely it can't be a loss of power... Looking forward to Fran to answering.

When I bought this brand new fast intake off a family member for only $200 I figure what the hell it can't hurt. Lets see what happens. It may produce some gains it may not.

WOW $200, I am one of the very few that believe you will benifit, I would love to see a before and after to prove others wrong or shup me up, but I would understand that is probably asking to much.

My goal is not to see how much money I can spend. However, I do agree with you in terms of LSX powered cars getting in the 8’s with the stock intake. Race Proven has the first 8 sec C6 Z06 to get there and it was done with a stock unit. If I did not get this intake for such a low cost I would not even considered doing it. Plus I also took into consideration that the only two TTix vettes that are above 1000 rwhp run fast intakes, not to mention there is a 7 second Z out there we all know of that is running a fast intake as well. So all being considered I do not think it is going to hurt my build.

I had post the below information in another thread (Champion 3" Down Pipes) on Tuesday

Just to recap, the car made 862 @16 lbs of boost with the 2.5” down pipes. Fran put the 3” pipes on. The boost controller was set at 14 lbs but spike to 18 lbs so the run was aborted before completion. However horsepower was at 934 rwhp and climbing when the run was terminated. We put the stock mufflers back on to help control the boost. The car then made 910rwhp @ 18 lbs but hp is now dropping off a little early. Clearly the stock mufflers are not helping things but for now I am ok with this as I know more horsepower can be had with better flowing cans. Fusion or Akrapovic is forthcoming within the next month or two to help the 3” down pipes work closer to their potential. As of today Fran is installing the fast intake and ewp. Then my car goes back on the dyno for final tuning. Not sure what the gains will be with the fast, but it will be interesting to see none the less. If I am missing something Fran will chime in.

Do you think porting the wastegate holes would help?

Their already ported by TTI.
We don't have any creep issues.

Did you run them open down pipe? We dont have any when the exh is on. We are gonna put just the X-pipe on now in the next couple days and see how that does.

I could see that, since with the exhaust on, there is increased backpressure before the turbine, which would cause the wastegates to do more of the work.
Looking forward to seeing final results!

My TTI 07 Z06 is going to Vengeance Racing this week for the new RSI triple hanging walbro fuel system, Precision 6265 turbos and TTI 3" down pipes. My car has made as much as 904rwhp with 14.5 pounds of boost. My last dyno was 830rwhp without meth. We believe the turbo seals are bad and need a better fuel system. Vengeance is confident we will be over 1000rwhp with the new set up. It will be a couple of weeks turn around time but I will keep you guys posted.

We are trying to make 1k also. Are you getting the turbos with the .84 rear housings? We have the .64 and it seems its gonna be hard to make 1k with it.

I am going with the .84 housing as of now. I am toying the with notion of notching the frame rails and fitting 68's or 70's. I will look at another car that was done that way sometime this week.
