I live in houston and i am wanting to do a big tt build on a c6z06. 1300-1400hp. Everyone is saying to go to taylor at dallas performance, but isint lmr here in houston? Would that be a better choice to go to? Not starting a vendor flame here just curious why people are saying drive hours away when a reputable shop is here.

They are both great shops! Check with both and use whoever you feel the most comfortable with. It a great situation to be so close to a couple of great performance shops with great reputations.

LMR does more TT cars from what I see and DP is more well known for the big blower setups. I'm sure both shops do both type of forced induction and both can do it well, but you tend to see more F2 cars coming out of Taylor's shop and more TT cars coming out of Stephen and Josh's place.

Contact people who own big hp built cars from LMR or DP and get their opinions. The forum does not allow for any vendor bashing so you may not get a balanced point of view on here, but if you PM some people or call them and get their input. I have never done business at either location but I know people who have done business at both of them...it's hard not to, they do a lot of business.

here is the deal, who cares what we think this is up to you. talk to each shop, being able to deal with a vendor is necessary when your going to drop this kind of money on a car. I had went to a different shop in Dallas before this and hated them, in fact i avoid most events they sponsor(some people rave about them). I went to Dallas Performance and that was the right shop for me. I say just call and visit both shops then make up your mind at the end of the day car guys are very passionate about cars and we need to have a comfort level with who we are dealing with.
