Hi I need a new clutch on my ls2 c6 was thinking of going with a ls7 clutch with a ram fly wheel my car makes 560rwhp don't drag or track it jus for street use thanks for the info
Since you don't track your car, the ACT twin disks is a good choice. Good feel and does the job at a reasonable price for what you are looking for. Don't expect a long life out of any organic clutch if you do burnouts and slip the clutch, which you don't seem to do. I like the Mcleod RXT quite a bit over my ACT which lasted a few thousand miles.
I jus want something that will last long time for street driving I do sprint around a lil bit but that's all I dunt do burn outs or track my car I usually jus use my car for cruising around the city
Try the Katech, or RPM LS9 clutch. That's what will be going in my car once the LS7 clutch in my 570rwhp car gives it up. So far though that little LS7 is taking everything I throw at it. Oh.... and I don't ever suck the fluid out of the reservior with a turkey baster either.
Check with ECS about this clutch they just started using this year. I believe its a mantic. Supposed to be very good on the street and handle power well. I'm hoping to get one in before next spring.
Ls7 clutch is 500 dollars with a new fly wheel. What are some of the prices of these other clutches? Also should I be changing my flywheel? I'm a newibie get all my info off this forum lol

Definitely change the flywheel. When you order a clutch, it comes as a complete unit that is zero balanced as a whole package. When you mix and match components you run the risk of vibration issues.
Im going to be the black sheep in the group and tell you to buy a SPEC 3+, its more clutch then you will ever need with your current setup and we have had great luck with it. If money isnt an option, i vote for the Katech LS9 Clutch, but the spec is pretty cheap in comparison.

Hated mine. Wanted to drop it from a 10 story building.
If you have money, go with an RPS full carbon. After that, I'd look at the LS9X clutch. If that's still too much, you can try an LS7 clutch, but it'll have a hard time surviving for long at 560whp.

They are picky, somtimes you need to shim the slave. I know we had to. As well as a Tick Master cyl... Worked flawlessly behind of 800bhp on my buddies car though, for years.
Any idea on how long a ls7 can last? Like how many miles do some of you guys that do have one have on it?
Lets put it this way, unless im a moron, the LS7 clutch is the same one they put behind the LS3 and I have seen near stock LS3 cars destroy them pretty quickly.
It's also going to cost me 1300 to get it installed
All the more reason to get the right clutch this time around!
I would atleast look at the LS9 assembly from Katech. Cost more than the LS7 but I'm pretty sure you won't need another clutch for a very long time based on your driving style described above.
