I'm considering adding boost to my '05 Z51, my intention is to keep the motor stock (cam, heads, etc). I'm looking for 500-650 rwhp. I'm interested in the following kits: ECS, Vortech, ProCharger or STS. Anyone with either of these kits care to weigh in on fit, reliability, performance, seat of the pants, etc? I'd like something with the potential for growth if I do change the motor later on (why I like these better than a TVS blower for example), and is suitable for a daily driver (reliability, noise, etc).
i would think one of the Edelbrock kits would certainly work
i plan on putting one on my wifes 05 for her
i like the ability to retian the stock hood
i may buy the lower level kit, then upgrade the fuel pump later on
i think i want to stay with stock internals and just put a kit on
Nice...what are your thoughts as far as reliability, maintenance, seat of the pants, etc? Would you feel comfortable driving your car everyday or taking it on a long trip?

I have no problem driving the car anywhere. It doesn't drive any differently unless I want it to. If I'm far from home I just won't act up as much. The only additional maintenance has been changing the SC oil since I have self contained.

I would recommend either the ECS or A&A Kit and decide by which has an authorized shop closest to your house. Like someone else said you will need to upgrade your diff and trans. Your stock wheel and tire configuration will also become useless in first and second gear. Good luck.

I've been running an A&A Vortech V2 kit for over two years on stock internals and long tube headers. My car is an A6 with a conservative tune. I'm at 500+rwhp and can use it as a DD if I so desire. You will get a lot of back and forth chatter on pd vs. centri. The bottom line is what you're comfortable with. I went this route because it fit with the stock hood (the E-Force was not avail for LS2 at the time), the price was right, and with the help of two friends was able to install it in a home garage with hand tools.

We have a few options for you. Feel free to contact me and we can go over them.
