Just curious if anyone else has had any issues with them? We use them because they are local to us, and I believe in supporting local vendors. But we had an issue with their 90deg meth nozzel holder, TWICE. We put in a customers C6, and everything was great. Then the customer comes back saying that it wasn't running right and they had it dyno'd at another facility, and it was making much less power. We put it on our dyno and the numbers matched they other dyno's low numbers. But we noticed something shooting all over the front of the car...it was meth.... The nozzel seemed to start leaking, where it was letting the meth spray everywhere BUT into the intake. We replaced it and the car was up and running again, making it's strong numbers we had seen before.
A couple months later, same car, same issue. It was leaking all over again. Now it's not like a tight fit where it's putting load on the fitting, the part where it swivels just seems to fail and leak. Since we didn't have anymore fittings I sent him to Snow to get another. They called me and CHARGED me $25 (for what seems to be a $3 fitting). They said I had to RMA the bad one for inspection to see if it was a mfg defect, then they could refund me. I just paid for it. I mean come on, it's a $3 fitting, lets just get the customer back on the road again....
Well now the customer has low compression on his engine, which may or may not have been caused by the missing meth. It's really hard to say as we never did a compression test right after either of the meth issues, and it's not like the customer drives the car "nicely", and there's no telling how long or hard the car was driven when it was missing the meth.
Either way I was not super impressed with their fitting, nor their customer service. Just wondering if anyone else had any issues, AND if anyone can recomend a better meth kit/company? as we may be looking for a new vendor line here soon.
Just look at the kit. It is is cheap. Don't they sell some higher end stuff? You don't see it on vettes much though b/c most people spending $600 go with Alky Control due to it's good reputation.
I'd like to see it too. And I'll give another vote for Alky Control. While it was a time consuming install for me, it turned out great, is totally hidden and has been flawless. I used the full stainless line kit from Dallas Performance.
It's the 90° fitting. Not a pic of our exact failed one, but they look the same, no signs of failure or damage till you hook it up and it sprays all over the place.
I've run three of these fittings on my diesel monster without a single leak....interesting.
Also something to note....never run 100% methanol like some tuners recommend for this exact reason. Think about methanol spraying all over the engine compartment attacking paint and non compatible plastics.
There kit is the best (in operation) but the wiring is very hodge podge. I mean seriously....in this day and age you guys can't incorporate the various modules into one consice unit ??

It would take a lot of leaking to do much damage. You would probably catch the leak first or manage to start a fire first...lol.

Not liking the idea of straight methanol being sprayed onto red hot headers Methanol self ignites under 900 F. I'd be willing to bet that header temps easily reach that point...
Yea, it's solid metal, looks completely fine till it's hooked up. It leaks right at the swivle where it rotates.

Oh yea, that's an O ring going bad. I wouldn't use swivel fittings on methanol systems even if they say they are OK. You should be able to clock an NPT thread wherever you need.
