Safety Car
I am loving the competition!!! U guys ROCK!!!
This is true... I won't call my car the champ until we beat both ET and Speed... we have been the "fastest" (MPH) IRS car but that is always second to the "quickest".
It is always easier to just be both... and we will
as for yesterday's outing...
We had a really good outing, but unfortunately I only really made 1 1/4 mile hit... that hit was a 7.14@203 with only 32PSI out the back... We could turned it up the next hit and pulled a 1.19 60' and ended up pulling another double power wheelie... this one wasn't as violent as the last one, so we went back up with weight moved around and suspension changes and the car spun.
We decided it would be better to pack up whole and go to Indy than to risk the car anymore.
So for now, Sal holds the IRS record and I can only say congrats to him... but we will be out soon and we will get it.
Some other accomplishments from yesterday were:
Best 1/8th mile was a 4.68 with a 1.260 60' and a 3.18 330'... this was done on 275's!
Best 60' was on the 315's and it was a 1.19!
I also got my Hans device figured out and am now comfortable wearing it and we did much better bringing down the car from the power wheelies.
I do have video of the first part of the power wheelie, but my camera guy got excited and pointed the camera at the ground so he could watch the wheelie unfold.
Hopefully other videos will surface.

WTG Mark, Congrats on your huge performance gains. What a monster vette. You make all us Corvette owners proud to see such performance coming out of the C6 platform.

Well,
We already knew that the motor was coming out after Indy, and now that has been done.
The car sits at the shop, just a shell of what it once was.
Over the years we have accomplished many things, but we have only just begun to scratch the surface of what will be the ultimate drag build in a C6.
The new build may as well be called the billet build, since the heart will be a Kurt Urban spec'd Billet Dart Block topped with AllPro's 12 -1 heads. Rotating the power will be a Billet Center Balanced Crank, connected to the Wiseco Pistons will be some of the Baddest rods ever to live inside a LS Motor.
When we started planning this build I was asked "How fast do you want to go?"
My answer was 6.99!
IPSMotorsports will be building me a custom Twin Turbo kit with Twin Billet 88MM Turbos and a 3000HP Air To Water Intercooler.
RPMTransmissions will be transferring the power through thier TH400 Race trans and C6Z Diff to my Drive Shaft Shop Axles by way of my Drive Shaft Shop Drive Shaft.
We will be taking over 200lbs out of the car this year getting the race weight to under 3400lbs for the first time since I went forced induction.
When the LS Series Comes around next year, you better mark your calendars, because if this baby doesn't adjust the rotation of the world, then we will just have to crank up the boost just a little more.
Stay tuned as I add pictures of the parts, chassis work, turbo fab, motor install, and everything else as it happens.
