I'm purchasing a new GS w/ A/T.. Trying to decide which super charger to get.. I'm leaning toward the 600hp Edlebrock. The main reasons are the looks, TVS have great low end torque over most others, and it looks like Hennessey uses the same blower. Looks like it has good reputation for how short it's been on the market. Just curious what you may suggest? I'm in the process of selling a gt500 with tons of upgrades. I built 2 motors with TVS, and Kenne Bell blowers.. It's pushing 1000 hp. I sold my Z06 to buy it 6yrs ago.. I miss my Vette. I thought the GS would be a wise choice for boost as the ls3 has the compression ratio to handle boost over the ls7.. look forward to you opinion.

If you're good with those power levels, the EForce is an excellent choice. If wanting to push well above those levels, there are better choices out there.
I know if I go much more than 600hp I will put the AT at risk, and after building 2 engines for my GT500 I dont want to forge the lower end on a new car yet.. Thanks for you opinion.. What would you go with?

I like my Maggies. Have one on my LS3'd vette and one on my daily driver GM truck. I think you'll find the Maggie TVS can be had a little cheaper. But, you have to factor in a new hood and paint (mine was $1300). I'm still on the stock radiator though. Quite a few of the EForce owners have also had to upgrade the radiator. Maybe close to a wash cost wise.
At stock like power levels (as shipped), the EForce will show a little extra low end power at the expense of a little less on the top end. I doubt you'd be able to notice either end without a dyno.
If you know you want a p/d blower, don't want to fool with the cost and PITA of a hood swap, the EForce would be an easy decision.
Like I said via PM...I believe you'd enjoy the E-Force, ECS or A&A
Any C6 with boost is going to be a blast.
If you know you don't want over 600rwhp then the Edelbrock should be fine. If you might go higher, I'd recommend another blower, because it's much easier to make 650+rwhp out of the ECS or A&A headunits.

Same engine, same day, same engine dyno, same tuner...Maggie compared to an E-Force...doubt the average "butt dyno" could tell the difference

Agree. And I tried to say as much I think the Maggie would be a better option if the OP was planning to pulley down and shoot for significantly more power. Just my opinion...yours may differ.

Totally agree. The Maggie looks better and has more options for higher levels of power but finding a quality hood $$$ that fits right and then finding a painter that is worth a crap $$$ is the challenge with the Maggie.

Yup. Mine fits well and I'm the only one that ever notices that it's just a slight shade off vs the fenders on either side. When the wife wants to really get under my skin, she asks, "are you ever going to get that hood to match?" Shooooot.
take your time, lots of options out there to research, as far as swaping out the hood and have to paint a new one thats not my first choice as it adds to the entire cost of the build.

Wives are all the same man, except I had dust in my headlights, anyway
I'm going with a Maggie because I love the low torque and want to leave my power options open a little. Plus I live 1 town over from the guys that paint all Callaways hoods so I'm sure they can match AW.
Good luck, have fun

I thought I read that Callaway uses the stock hood and cuts out the center and adds the bump which is normally painted a contrasting color, not the original color.

Not from what Ive seen. I saw some primed hoods out back waiting for carbon fiber or black paint witch I think are there 2 color options. They already had the "bump"and seemed to be one piece. The center on some is carbon that is epoxied on afterward on what seems to be an aftermarket hood. Maybe they mod the stock hood to clear the blower but that seems like too much work. plus I saw the bottom of an unfinished hood and it looked like one piece.
Maybe Callaway could chime in and correct or back me.
The restrictor plate that ECS uses will make your car feel like a PD Blower car with ample USEABLE low end torque with out the hood or the heat soak and you have the option of several hundred extra hp down the road...The ideal situation is a 4.0L wipple, but that would be a custom high $$$ build with a rocky mountain platue in the center of your hood.

I really want to make sure I've got the low end torque for sure.. Thats a must
