Yes on the harness, no idea on the sensor from that part number. Go to any local auto store and just ask for an IAT sensor for a c5 vette. I got one at carquest for $19. They are easy to find locally.
Yea, thats where I found the "12614717" part number, but in that thread they say its $20, on the website it only $10. Also they say it looks like a threaded sensor, but there is no picture and basically no description on the website. Maybe for $10 I should just try it.
That sensor is for the electronic air conditioning outside tempature sensor. You need one for IAT, intake air temperature. If you want a metal screw in one, Try one from a 86 Cadillac Deville.

I felt this would be better than trying to tap threads in my plastic manifold. I just bought a grommet assortment and found one that fit very tight. My sensor is definitely not leaking or coming out on it's own. I also used the break-out harness from Casper's and it works great.
After doing a little more searching, I thought that might be the right part but just wasn't sure.
Street- I was/am a little concerned about trying to thread the sensor into a plastic manifold too, but haven't heard of anyone having problems with that set-up.
