The pump does in fact get it's power from the PAC. I would recommend you pull power in from a main power source such as the back of the alternator or the battery and use another relay switched off your heater wire. The entire system draws less than 15 amps of current. The kit should have little box for supplying the included MAP sensor with 5V and ground.
There is a relay that comes with the alky kit. It connects to the main power beside the fuse box and also to the fuel pump relay circuit. This is how Julio recommends connecting it. Many run it off other accessory power but its really not hard to tap the fuel pump relay and I spoke at length with Julio and he said it could avoid probems with electirical interference doing it that way.
Quote from Julio...Your car doesnt have an "ignition switch" like on a C5. So what the relay does is transfer power from the battery post to the PAC controller when your fuel pump runs. This also isolates my kit from any onboard electronics eliminating any chance of interference with any of the factory electronics(body control, transmission control, engine control)
