Even if you tune for the meth, there's no reason you'll have to park your car if you run out. Surely you can operate your vette without getting into boost? Even mild boost wouldn't hurt anything if you ran out of meth. If you don't tune for the meth, you'll be running stupid rich under boost.

The concern would be in the event that I do not realize I am out and go into a hard boost situation. I can tune fuel trims for the meth and not timing is more where I am headed. If I use the windshield washer tank then I will have that warning system for if I am low. However, there is no warning for a pump failure or kinked pipe or clogged nozzle. I understand my car will dump boost in the event of knock but why run the risk. My car has 2 piece exhaust valves and they can be rather fragile as we have seen in the C6Z06.

Extremely interesting findings. Good job. I'm not sure I agree with the conclusion that a mix of water/meth is harmfull. If sprayed in a fine mist, with time to vaporize I still don't think it will hurt. I have no proof either way so I guess each has to make up his own mind about it. Good luck with you setup and thanks for posting that info.

Your welcome.

I think if your car is fully warmed up and you did a 75% meth with 25% water ratio you would probably be fine. Pure meth will net you a higher octane rating, but the water would provide better cooling capacity if I am correct.

Two piece exhaust valves? Now that is something I've never heard of?

What are they?

They are 2 piece sodium filled exhaust valves. GM uses them due to their light weight and ability to dissipate heat.
