STS kits are especially sensitive to boost leaks and will cause all kinds of problems.

if you haven't checked for boost leaks then I can promise you have them.

seal off the turbos inlet, then remove the brake booster line. then pressurize using an air compressor, set your regulator to your max desired boost. I pressure test my TT kit to 21 psi and verify the reading on my boost gauge.

Then get a spray bottle with some soap in it and spray every single coupler, even the bov and flages. I had to tighten every clamp an additional 3 turns, and even remove the turbo compressor cover and reseal it. YES! the turbo compressor itself had massive air bubbles coming out!

then see if that cures your issue, if not, then get some SPA TURBO SEALANT, Google it and put it on every exhaust component flange (EXCEPT MANIFOLD to HEAD).

If you have STILL having issues, then change your valve springs, I personally have seen stock springs good to at least 8psi, but I run PAC-1518 springs and boost to 12psi currently.

Hope this helps!

If it was my car, I would want to do all the stuff I could do first, which would be to make ABSOLUTELY sure there were no leaks in the turbo system. Then, go from there.

Update**

Xtreme was right, valve springs

Just got them changed and installed a boost control and the car is showing some real power.

So I will apologize to Jan and xtreme...they obviously know fi...just a recommendation though, if a customer comes in and wants a tune just be happy for the business, don't bash the kit they had installed and make it seem like its going to cause nothing but problems.

Not sure, but I'm assuming well over 500rwhp now. I need to get it re-tuned and dyno'd again. I'm running pretty rich at wot.
