Looking to hear from anyone who has actually done this, could you please share the CAI parts you used to achieve, what you cut up on them to make them fit and work, and any before and after IAT data.
Looking to lower IAT's and it makes sense to start closer to ambient rather than the underhood temps (that seem to be 10-20+ deg higher). The E-Force has a nice sized air filter which I prefer to retain, but I also want to contain the space around it and duct it to some outside air source. I can imagine a few scenarios, but rather than randomly buying various CAI units I want to buy one I know has worked (knowing it may need a few mods) for others with this setup.
I have done what is shown in that thread. Tough call on results. May have lowered iats a little but cant hurt to have fresh air as opposed to the hot air from the engine compartment.
Here is a link to the Callaway Honker. I had one before my eforce. I like the fit. It would be cool to know if the supercharger version fits.
Thanks for all of the replies. I contacted Callaway and they said they do not offer a CAI for an E-Force, and said if one of their units was used that most of it would be cut away to make it fit. This is likely due to how the E-Force pushes out the TB and MAF forward quite a bit vs. stock and it goes into the space where the Callaway unit would fit.
After looking at a few options and designs am going to build a hybrid using the a cover over the current E-Force air filter and sealing it off to the shroud and then also cutting away most of the shroud below the filter to get the pressurized air from the grill area. In theory it should work, so we will see. Thanks for the ideas and comments.
Isolating the air intake will improve temps in the intake tract but the air is still going to get superheated passing thru the supercharger. If you want to make real gains in IATs, focus on lowering supercharger coolant temps.

That's basically what I've done with the beehive. Just be carefull how much you cut away. I think its best to leave the center area alone because air flowing directly at the maf might cause issues.
