I think you would be happy with either, but we prefer the Mantic. We have a special going that includes the clutch, slave/throw out bearing, pilot bearing, bleeder kit and shipping within the cont US. PM me if interested.
DYAD FTW LOL! No really you will find this subject to be very personal. Most ppl havent driven enough different clutches to know any better other than the one or possibly two theyve used. But I have driven a ton. I have not driven the Manic 9000 or any of there clutches. I have driven the Mcleod RXT and a long list of others Spec etc... And I haven't had any that I've driven drive this nice or hold what they will out of the box. Just my .02. Of course shops have driven a lot, just due to the nature of what they do. I do take what they say with a grain of salt as most install drive and deliver so they maynot have a long term view etc... GL! I'm sure you will do fine with your choice.
You didn't ask about the best Seriously though, have you considered the new Monster twin? It has been 9.1@153 in the 1/4 on a 1.35. Has a linear engagement and pedal effort ~8% stiffer than stock. Feel free to contact me with any question.

Thanks guys! I know, and understand, how many are cautious to vendors promoting a product they are selling, makes perfect sense!
I can say though that we have been using the Mantic line solely for 2.5 years now and have been extremely happy with them. Very little problems for how many we sell, I could count the problems on one hand and we sell a lot of these and install a lot of these.
We have used them in road racing cars that have won national championships, and drag cars running as low as 9.3 so far and I feel there is more left in that car too.
Most importantly the street manors are like stock so it's a nice combination of power holding vrs performance which has been such a trade off in prior years.
OP The DYAD worked ok on the two cars I tested, one was a TT C6 670whp/880wtq, the other was a Z06 at 1000whp/960wtq. at first we had some issues with the clutch sticking to the floor. but when we installed a tick master cylinder it kinda fixed the problem but it got stiffer about 10% more which is still not bad honestly. Some had better luck than us but I experienced this myself on two different cars. I just ordered the mantic 9000 HD for my Z06 through ECS and ordered couple more through Mike @ East Coast Performance Corvettes. I have ZERO experience with it but from what I read, it looks like its one of the best options especially for the price.
The RXT worked great on the cars I have tested too. paddle was stiffer than the DYAD but I like that more than a light paddle clutch.
The clutch that I would really tell you to stay away from would be any LS9 Clutch (X or R or whatever version of any LS9 clutch)... they are junk on a high horsepower car with high RPM shifting and racing!! (my opinion of course)
sorry made this long and went into different clutch options but thought I will share my experience with some of those!

Doug, I ordered the Mantic 9000 with the non-sprung discs (as per your recommendation) but everyone I talked to said this is more like a road course setup and that I would want a sprung discs for a street car with some 1/4 mile runs?? whats your take on this?

100% truth. I'm probably gonna give the Mantic a shot.

Thanks
I have the 9000 with non-sprung discs. Trust me, you'll be fine. There is only a little clutch chatter and the engagement / ability to slip the clutch for normal street use is near stock. My car is the one that went 9.3, so the non-sprung discs work great to hold a bunch of power / torque while maintaining street-ability. I'm confident you'll like it. Good luck
What gave you problems? I know a few people with the RXT and they love it.
First clutch I had slipped, had to pay for a rebuild out of pocket on brand new clutch, they sent me a "rebuilt" RXT clutch that was taller than the original one and wouldn't disengage with the slave, then had to order their adjustable slave for $500 to make everything work correctly in my c6.
All in all I don't like their product and had over $3k into a clutch job. In hind sight should have gone with the Mantic.
