How do you have the heat exiting?

Do you have a front shot?

I purchased a Derale cooler/fan with -10 fittings and had it mounted in the front left tire wheel well like Inspector12 did. Also spliced the cooler into the fan, so that the cooler comes on at 160 like the rad fan.

Oil temps went from 270 down due 225-230. I just did a 6 hour drive yesterday and my oil temps never got above 226 with 90+ degree ambient temps. This mod also helped keep my coolant temps down. My coolant temps never got over 198.

In standing traffic with similar ambient temps, my oil temps never ranged from 230-235... coolant temps around 210-215. I keep my rad fan set to come on at 160 due to high under-hood temps.

Earls 19 row cooler, no fan.. Just vented into the fender well.. Knocked my freeway oil temps down from 250* to about 225-230* in the same conditions.. Most of the time my oil temp is around 210-215*....and even after a hard pull the temp doesn't climb that much...I also gained about 8 psi of hot idle oil pressure..

It was worth the money for some peace of mind.. This is on a C5 tho so not sure about the fitment on a C6.
