We use a brazing process identical to what the big three use called Nocolok brazing (google it) It is the latest technology in aluminum brazing today. Welded tube joints so good, you don't need epoxy to seal them up.

I just switched to Dewitt's and Dual Spal Fan unit on my FI build. I let another builder talk me into the LG radiator. I hope this switch solves some of my former issues.

2 years of use out of mine and I've had to repair 3 leaks, one of them was self induced. Cools great though.

I am on my second Dewitt Radiator and will say its not what I thought it would have been, the welding probably stronger than it was now because my first failed internally, engine oil was mixing with my anti-freeze so I eliminated the engine oil cooling system, not long after the anti-freeze was mixing with my transmission oil so eventually I had to eliminate that also, I must say Dewitt customer service was top notch and a replacement was sent to me immediately.
Now the cooling is a different story, I have not seen much of a difference from the factory, its bigger so that probably made up for the little difference I have noticed but its not what I expected.
There is a company out there name Griffin, they made a radiator for the corvettes and its beautiful looking, we installed one on a C6 Z06 a month ago and is waiting for the result as soon as the car is complete and now we will have to wait for Summer to get the full potential of its capabilities in the heat.

I went with the oil cooler option and the big supercharger radiator. I certainly hope that I do not have leaks and issues. Dewitt's comes pretty highly recommended by my shop and several forum friends. All I can do is hope the quality is there and I do not get a lemon. I swapped out the Dewitt's with the LG supercool. We will see how it performs.

And that happens to be the one in the picture above!

Sorry about the lemon you got, we did buy some poor coolers. Now we make our own. I hope the replacement performs better for you

I am a "former" Ron Davis user. I had one on my ProCharged C6 for 4 years. It leaked constantly from the EOC ports. In the Davis unit, these fittings are secured with a simple sheet metal nut and gasket. A real POS. After two years of fighting with Ron Davis, and when they refused to repair their own product, even after I agreed to pay for the repair in full, I purchased a DeWitts unit.

In two years, I have experienced zero issues, and my engine runs about 10 degrees cooler, with no other changes.

(Five thumbs-up)

1) With no change in coolant, no change in thermostat, no change in fans / shroud, no tune, and an otherwise stock engine, what kind of temps can one expect? My car runs 220 degrees in stop and go traffic, sometime a little higher during the summer in stop and go traffic.

2) I have replaced radiators, but never on a C6. How difficult is it swap the radiator in a garage with jacks? Can it be done without removing the hood / front bumper?

You may not see any difference if you do not re-program the fans to come on earlier. If ambient air changes, the answer changes too. A radiator with higher heat rejection capabilities may not seem any different until it is taxed enough. Theoretically the car should run at 190 because of the stat (please don't start another stat thread) setting, but it goes higher because of three items. The fans starting point, the outside air temperature, and the radiators capability.

The guys at Dewitt are top notch....liked the one in my Z06 so much I had them build a custom one to solve overheating issues in my twin supercharged CTS-V (former SEMA car).

I do wish the C6 radiator would fit more tightly to the factory shroud particularly along the top (I think that's what the included foam is for) but otherwise great piece.
