Default 700+hp LS3

Hey, I'm wanting to get my 13 GS to 700+whp. It has a set of TSP 1.78" long tubes with no cats going on next week. I was looking at the A&A kit but also the ECS kit. What will I need to get to my hp goal, and which kit do you guys like personally? Not to worried if the motor doesn't last super long, I will build the motor then up the boost when it does give out. Thanks for the help.

Your motor will live quite a while with a good tune at 700-750rwhp. If running 91/93 pump gas you will need methanol. Alky Control kit is what I use and most recommend. Either a T trim A&A kit or an ECS1500 kit will get you there. Not sure if you will be able to do it without a cam though. I run a T trim with a small cam and I'm at 719rwhp in Arizona heat.

Do you have a stick or auto?

Stick. It will run 93octane and maybe a little meth. I was thinking of a small blower cam also. Thanks

Just call ECS and order their kit with small blower cam and meth. 700-750rwhp all day long. You just need to run it without the restrictor plate.

I concur. I have their blower kit, meth kit, stage 1 fuel system, small cam and some other mods on a LS2 that put down 760 whpr through 4.10s in 100 degree humid air (not a max effort tune). Been boosted for 10000 miles (three years) and it has seen some BIG pulls and many a liter bike has seen the back end of my car. Smaller bikes just aren't worth the effort.

Call ECS. They make it painless and idiot proof.

D1SC Procharger, Futral Motorsports custom spec blower cam, alky meth, DP big mouth inlet, 4.75" pulley making 8psi mine made 700rwhp on the money.

I'm going to go with the ECS kit, if my tuner gives the ok. I'm having my tuner spec a cam, it will have a Alky meth kit but I will do meth as a back up. Thanks for the help!

Do I need a ZR1 fuel pump or bigger injectors than what the stock kit has?

Injectors yes. Fuel pump maybe. Call ECS, Futral, A&A, and talk to them.

I meant that I'm going to run the meth to where if it ran low it won't blow up in one second. I know I need alot of meth which I will run alot but just dont want a tune to where it blows up in a second if it ran out.

Just set the meth up correctly and the car will do it for you. It is simple.

That being said, plenty of people make 700+ without meth. I wouldn't say it is needed. It is a great way to keep power up, and great safety feature but 700rwhp has been done time and time again with no meth. Friends auto car has been making 700+ for the past 15k miles here in hot AZ with crap gas on just normal 91. My car made 860rwhp no meth and had more than enough timing to not hurt anything.

You don't need meth to make 700+. Is it a good idea? Sure... but definitely not required.

T-trim, good blower cam, injectors, BAP, clutch, headers. That's all you need.

I make 719rwhp on E85 and meth in Arizona. What do you think I would make on 91 with no meth? Damn sure not over 700. 93 octane would obviously help along with better air.

My T-trim is pullied 3.125/7.5, which puts me at max impeller speed at 6500rpm engine speed. At 7000rpm it's 10% past max impeller speed. Cam specs in sig.

Blake Brownlee, who has a 2010 Camaro down in your neck of the woods getting a TT kit installed, made 825rwhp on 91 octane and no methanol with a YSI at 15psi on a LS3.

Don't tell me what's not possible.

what you really need to do , is take your car over to Bradenton and talk to Matt @ Fla speed and power. That's what I did. ECS all the way. And yes you will need meth in Fla.

Combinations to 700+ rwhp include the ECS SC kit (Or A&A), Alky Control Meth Kit, Good Fuel System, and Blower Cam/Springs. These hold together quite well in the LS3's, we have numerous ones in the 700+ rwhp range that are driven hard and a lot.

I'll give you guys a call in the next couple days. As soon as the car gets back from the body shop, someone nailed the fenders with a trailer in a parking lot.

Local L99 automatic camaros are doing it, so I don't see why an ls3 manual couldn't do it here in AZ.
